EDUCATION OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

We believe students need to explore the world, be adventurous and brave and have fun in New Zealand’s beautiful outdoors. We provide students with as many Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) experiences as possible, including camps and trips.

School trips for educational purposes happen every year with all age groups visiting differnent locations each year. Trips can include local beaches, the Observatory - Stardome, the Auckland Zoo, the Auckland Museum and much more.

Overnight Education outside the classroom experiences begin in Year 4 with a school overnight stay that focuses on the experience of staying overnight.

In year 5 and 6 in even years students experience a range of challenging one day trips throughout the year. Trips include surfing, rock climbing and a visit to one of our Hauraki Gulf Islands.

In odd years, year 5 and 6 experience a three night camp at Waipu Cave Camp.

In year 7 and 8 a camp is held each year. In even years the camp is held at Willow Park Camp and has a sports focus. In odd years the camp is held at Dickey Flats in the Karangahake Gorge and has a focus on outdoor pursuits.
