DIGITAL LEARNING

The Internet is a valuable learning tool. All classes have access to the Internet.

Our service provider is Network for Learning. Our internet is filtered but there is an expectation that children use sensible search terms and become informed digital citizens. Students receive specific training in this each year. In order to use the Internet children and parents must have completed an Acceptable Use Agreement.

Parent Advice

Go to our online safety hub to find out about the apps your children are using, about managing screen time and how to deal with online incidents. This website is full of practical advice for New Zealand caregivers.

You also have free access to Qustodio- an online monitoring app for parents. You can locate this in the menu bar in the safety hub (Parent App)

What device should I purchase?
Chrome books are the best fit for our school and we highly recommend them.

Phones

No phones ( or any handheld devices) are allowed at school. If a child needs a phone after school for any reason the phone must be handed into the office or teacher before school starts and will be looked after until 3pm. Visiting technology students must hand phones to the office.
If students have a phone in class it will be confiscated and parents will be required to pick it up.
