The Junior School is a safe and fun environment for children in their first years at school. We work to ensure a smooth transition from pre-school or kindergarten.
The children are encouraged to become steadily more independent and responsible for themselves and their belongings.We value what each child brings to our school. We build on children’s personal experiences and interests. We welcome diversity.We have a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy.
We challenge children to reach their potential. Children know where they are achieving and their next learning steps. We use a language of learning.
Taupaki School offers a varied and exciting Curriculum; we have a specialised music programme and many musical and sporting opportunities. Highly enthusiastic teachers share their skills and experience.Parent Help in the classroom is welcomed and valued.
Taupaki School is a small school with a strong sense of community. We value the home and school partnership and communicate regularly through weekly class and school newsletters.
Our Core Values (Respect, Nurture, Learning and Personal Best) are a focus at Taupaki School. We teach these from an early age and they are an integral part of our School Culture.
