Meet the Principal

My name is Stephen Lethbridge and am proud to be the Principal of Taupaki School. I have been at Taupaki School since the beginning of 2006. Prior to this I was the Deputy Principal of Lincoln Heights School in Massey. I have found Taupaki School to be a warm welcoming place with every stakeholder wanting the very best for their child. Most of all it is a place that celebrates learning

I am passionate about creating a relevant, future thinking school where children are actively encouraged to think, act and reflect. Schools should be homes for the mind, places where thought is taught. As teachers we should be using any and all means possible to inspire our children to be passionate learners.

I am married and have three amazing children, twin boys and a baby girl. I live in West Auckland and am a keen sportsman and sports fan.

My personal mission statement is 'Children First'. I am available to talk with parents and caregivers, people interested in the school, members of the community, and prospective new families to the school at any time. Please make an appointment at the office.
